Ed and Sharon Zondag

Ed and Sharon Zondag are CBF members who have made saving the Bay a part of their legacy. Sharon is a former executive with a national jewelry retailer and now works in development for a local community college. Ed is a former marine engineer with Holland America Line (steam era), and now is self-employed. Ed explains why CBF is in their estate plans: "We support CBF because we feel the Chesapeake Bay is unique; its colonial heritage is still abundant and despite all the millions of people living around it, you can still be on the Bay surrounded only by an occasional waterman and Capt. John Smith's spirit. We have been exploring the Bay over the last 20 years and it has to be preserved. We want our bequest to be a part of that preservation of all that we have come to love."
